Terms of Sale
Last updated: June 2026
These terms apply when you order from Tinytale. They're written to be read, not to hide things — if anything is unclear, email hello@tinytale.co.uk before you order.
What you're buying
Every Tinytale book is a personalised product made to your specification — written and illustrated around your child's name, photo and the choices you make in the builder. All prices shown include VAT where applicable. Delivery within the UK is free.
Your approval comes first
Nothing prints without you. We prepare your book and you can request changes before it goes to print. If we can't make something work, we'll refund you in full.
Cancellations & returns
Because each book is personalised, the usual 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 doesn't apply to made-to-order goods once production has started. Instead:
- Before printing: you preview the cover and key pages, request free changes, and can cancel any time for a full refund. Nothing prints without your approval.
- After printing: because each book is made to order for one child, we can't accept returns for change of mind — that's standard for personalised products.
- Damaged or faulty: we'll reprint and resend free of charge, or refund you — your choice. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.
Story Club subscription
- £36 per month, billed via Stripe, one new personalised hardback each month.
- You can pause or cancel any time from the manage-subscription link in your emails or order page — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Each month's book follows the same preview-and-approval process as a one-off order.
Content you provide
Dedications and story ideas must not contain unlawful, hateful or infringing content. You confirm you have the right to share the photo you upload (you're the child's parent or guardian, or have their permission). We may decline an order that breaches this — with a full refund.
Delivery
Books are typically made in 5–7 working days and then delivered within the UK. Timeframes are estimates, not guarantees — if your order is significantly delayed, contact us and we'll put it right. See Delivery & returns.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Otherwise, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time you order is the one that applies to your order.
